primAccurate™

By operating with a digital control block, the PrimAccurate™ devices can also operate in multiple modes of operation without the need for complex analog circuitry. Some of the AC/DC converters made by Dialog use combinations of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) and Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM), flattening out the efficiency curve, offering high efficiency across a broader load range than equivalent analog circuits. In circuits where this technology is not needed, such as solid state lighting, the the converters use quasi-resonant control to optimize efficiency for heavy loads. The fully digital control also allows for compensation to be done in the time domain instead of the frequency domain, removing the need for external compensation components, easing design and reducing time-to-market for developers.

Dialog's patented Flickerless™ technology utilizes a two-stage conversion approach, first detecting the type of dimmer, if any, is present. Once determined which dimmer type is used, then the input voltage is passed through a chopping circuit, which provides the correct impedance to match the dimming circuit and therefore helps to improve the Power Factor of the overall circuit. Besides this, the chopping circuit also provides a voltage without the line frequency component, allowing the AC/DC controller to provide the PWM dimming of the LED driver current based on the dimming percentage demanded by the input dimming circuit. The Dialog family of SSL drivers operate with dimming frequencies between 630Hz to 900Hz, with a dimming range of 1% to 100%. This completely removes the possibility of visible and non-visible flicker on the LED output.

AccuSwitch™

Dialog leverages its proprietary PrimAccurate™ control circuit technology and integrates it with high power transistors in order to create a new range of technology called AccuSwitch™. The integration of the patented digital control circuit, offering high output accuracy and a reduced component count through proprietary primary-side feedback technology, with a high voltage transistor allows for an overall solution that saves valuable real estate in home and industrial electronics. The iW181x family is the first family of products offered by Dialog with AccuSwitch™ technology, with an 800V-rated power bipolar transistor, enabling off-line power supplies with average output power ratings of 5W from a single integrated circuit.

SmartBeat™

SmartBeat is a system integrators solution consisting of pre-engineered firmware and comes with configuration and tuning tools for fast development of USB audio applications like Lync/Skype headsets, headphones and microphone which are Microsoft Lync/Skype and/or USB compliant. While being pre-engineered, the firmware offers full customizability of the MMI, like button and LED responses. A key-tone generator can be configured to add audible feedback to user, like indicating volume up or down and end of range.
