What I'm trying to achieve is using a timer(since I can't make a loop) or something like that to read my sensor constantly (like a microcontroler) without even connecting to the bluetooth because I'm using a temperature sensor as a security measure and I need to always read it (connected or disconnected) and of course when conected, be able to see it in my characteristics.
I tried to use multiple timers with the app_easy_timer() function (to setup two notify characteristics each with a different sensor) but I don't know if this is possible or it will cause a malfunction in the bluetooth functionality.
What do you recommend or what is the best way to make a periodically reading in a sensor while disconnected? and is it necessary a timer to use the notify property in a characteristic?

Could you try to start the timer in the user_app_adv_start() function? Instead of user_app_init().
Are you able to get the timer callback?

Thanks for your question online. This is correct – the ble_app_peripheral example starts sending BLE notification when the control point characteristic is set to 1 by the peer device and of course when it is in connected stated. When the control point is set to 1, the examples starts an app_easy_timer() to send BLE notification.
Since you would like to read the sensor continuously , you could implement an app_easy_imer() in the use_app_on_init(), and send its value when the device is connected to a peer device. The user_app_connection() callback function is triggered upon a BLE connection.
When the device is disconnected, the user_app_disconnect() callback is executed, and so you can re-start the timer.
Of course, you will not able to send BLE notifications while the device is just advertising (not in connection state).
