For example, they can operate from silver oxide batteries and super-small-capacity batteries with high internal resistance, ensuring very long shelf lives thanks to ultra-low leakage currents and the ability to detect first dose setting while switching from hibernation to active mode.

I am not able to understand what you mean by “get the current state of the hash engine and restore it at a later point”, so can you please clarify it?

Hi PM_Dialog,
I am aware how to get the engine to calculate hashes.
My problem is that mbedtls assumes an implementation that can resume hash calculations at will, from a prior state.

What the mbedtls implementation allows is the following:
