I am reading through the documents "UM-B-051_DA1458x_Software_Platform_Reference_1v2.pdf" (Seciotn 3.1~4.8, 11, as suggested in section 3.2) and "UM-B-050_DA1458x_Software_Developer's_Guide_1v1.pdf" as I am a complete beginner in BLE as well as DA14580
I have already installed the SDK, Keil uvision 5 and SmartSnippets Studio, but I cannot see Connection Manager in the "Software and Tools tab" under Tools
There is a link to "Connection Manager v 3.0.8" under Previous Software Releases
Is this where we are supposed to download it from, or is there an updated version available? As I mentioned I am complete beginner and do not want to download a wrong version.
Please suggest what I should do.

The Connection Manager is a quite obsolete software and it's not maintained anymore, you will be able to download the latest version from the "Previous Software Releases" section.

No, the tool is not included in the Smart Snippets toolbox (only a part of it named RF master), the Connection Manager is just a tool that acts as a generic external central or peripheral and provides some basic functionallities, its not neccesary to use it, its just for testing and experimenting.

The Connection Manager is not supported anymore and there is not available on our support website, as it was used for SDK3 which is a very old version. Currently, the latest SDK for DA14580 products is SDK5.0.4 and you can download it from the DA1580 support portal. However, for new designs, we strongly recommend the usage of DA14585/6 product family and our new SDK6 (latest version 6.0.10). Please take a look:
