WLCSP package on 2-layer PCB stack

Hi
For the WLCSP package the inner ring connections ( P0_1, P0_2, P0_4, P0_7 , P1_0, P1_1, P1_2 and P1_3 )
can only be used with a Multi-layer PCB with micro vias.

I would like to use the WLCSP package on a two-layer PCB.

There is no micro vias available , how can I program the OTP memory ?
Ususally it's done via the UART at BOOT with one signal in the inner ring..

WLCSP package on 2-layer PCB stack

Hi,

The right way to use UART on a single layer PCB is to route the inner ball through one of the other inner balls.

One example could be that you connect UART (TX) on P0_4 and UART (RX) on P0_5. To get the P0_4 out can route the signal through P0_7 ball and onto the P0_6 ball.

Regards
Thomas

The UART is standard

The UART is standard interface to program OTP and you can use OTP programming tool in Smartsnippet
