LMP response timeout

Hi dialog,

I implemented a da14681 with SD1.0.14 on a custom board.

I developped my application from the ble peripheral project, my application working as a ble slave.

Our use case in a smartphone application connecting to the DA, which send a few commands (10 per second max), and then i send command over spi to a peripheral.

I recently encountered a disconnection problem.

This disconnection appears randomly after a certain time of connection, can be 10min or 2h.

We verified on our app and the disconnection error message is BLE_HCI_STATUS_CODE_LMP_RESPONSE_TIMEOUT .

i suppose this is handled some in the SDK but i did not find where. If you can give some hints on the subject.

This might be due to the Supervision Timeout. The same error can also occur due to Link Layer timeout. Please refer to Bluetooth LE 4.0 core specification, section 2.4.1 LMP Response Timeout. However, we would like to have a sniffer capture of the case in order to have a clear view for what happens.
