DA9062-EVAL1 default OTP and IC P/N
Posted byZiv20 points 5 repliesIn the DA9062-EVAL1:
- What is the full P/N of the DA9062 IC?
- What will be the default OTP version ? Can you share the Buck/LDO voltages + sequence?
- In case we are using different power sequence, what options we have to update the PMIC EVM for our needs (assuming the IC already arrived programmed with OTP)?
- Is it possible to used the EVM while the the IC is unprogrammed (no OTP) by using PC mode with INI file?

谢谢胡哈,
So regarding #1: the DA9062-EVAL1 has 4 different options (P/N) for buying with different OTP version? What's the full P/N of the IC arrived with the EVM buy default?
Regarding #3: assuming I would like to run a power cycles to test the EVM while connected to my system and the default OTP is not meeting my application requirements, can I run it in cycles while in PC-mode?
It will be stable enough in this running mode?
And where is the INI file store? on our PC connected to the EVM or on the EVM itself?
Regards.

Hi Ziv,
We do have more options I just mentioned some of them. We do have also customer specific ones.
If you are power cycling the Vsys the input voltage continuously on and off you need to notice that the first step will be delayed as the soft registers will need to rewritten and that takes some for the first step before sequencing actually starts. Soft registers are not NVM so every time power disappears those will be empty.
If you need acuurate information of that first time too it would be better to program a OTP and use it as a it is.
What we call ini-file is located in the file system on your computer (HDD). where you down load it to the PMIC.
Best regards,
Juha

Hi
Re: "We do have more options I just mentioned some of them. We do have also customer specific ones."
Are you talking about options for buying the EVM or option to buy only the IC?
Because In your document: "da9061_2_evaluation_board_order_info_1v1" I can't find option for ordering different OPT versions.
另一个问题如果我买DA9062-EVAL1, since it's already arrived with default OTP I do'nt have option to reprogram it with my custom OTP and test it, just by resolder new DA9062-A0AM1 (=empty ) part, right?
Thanks

Hi Ziv
When you buy an EV kit it comes with the GUI program in the USB stick that has all these standard options attached to GUI. They give a great starting point for ICP programming option ( commercial applications).
The EV kit comes with one programmed part that lets us to check it really works when delivered but that is easily changed by mentioned Power Commander possibility test and run new setting with the EV Kit.
You have that right. if you choose to use the the performance board as a testing ground. Typically in this phase you would have proto boards to do it.

Hi Ziv,
Let me answer your questions
1.) The part number changes slightly depending if the OTP of the part is programmed or not.
DA9062-XXAM1 is for parts on a tray AMC are parts in T&R.
We have some standard variants like:
- DA9062-0AAM1 for Qualcom Atlas 7 (On tray)
- DA9062-11AM1 Avnet MiniZed board
- DA9062-62AM1 i.MX6S Autoboot
- DA9062-A0AM1 In Circuit Programming Variant (this is an empty unprogrammed part)
Please note that the in case of an automotive option there is an additional -A at the end of the code. These parts will need to be programmed at factory to fulfill the AEC-Q100 etc requirements.
2.) On the EV Kit there is a preprogram that has following outputs.Buck1 1.38V, Buck 2 1.5V, Buck3 3.3V and buck 4 1.8V, LDO1 3.3V, LDO2 1.8V,LDO3 3.0V and LDO4 2.8V.
sequencing is slot1 LDO1, slot2 Buck1, slot3 Buck2, slot4 Buck3, slot5 Buck4, slot7 LDO 2 and 3, slot8 LDO4.Step time is set to 1,024ms.
3.) There is a switch on the mother board that defines a mode we call Power Commander (PC mode). This mode prevents normal or programmed OTP register transfer to softregister, instead it writes the soft registers from the selected INI-file You can create yourself with the GUI and edit as you wish and save it. This will not be programmed to the OTP but it can be used for testing etc.
4.) it is possible but one should be very careful and rememmber to turn on the power commander mode on, the switch. but you can do exactly pretty much the same with programmed part
I hope this helps you
Thank you
Best regards
Juha
